nothing to do with lifestyle. My colleagues used to say I was doing PHP over Java. If you look today at my code, you’ll say I’m doing C over Java. But it does work, with all the tools collaborating with me for a better code (junits, coverage, check style, jenkins, jprofiler, etc.). But that’s my way to do it faster than nginx and at the moment am doing a peak of 2Gbps of traffic, which may or may not be limited to my mac.

Fret not, I’m not changing lifestyle, I just want to add some perspective, hopefully in a non-academic way. Java is a candidate, but the feeling is that it’s a bit too close to home ground, but let me get my metrics right first
